Fibre construction: services in NE3, NE4 and NE5
We work in network levels 3 to 5 from a single source: from civil works through the building connection to the subscriber connection, with our own field crews.
Civil works and route construction
Civil works, microtrenching and construction of the distribution network up to the building.
NE4Building connection and risers
Building entry, the house transfer point (HÜP) and risers inside the building.
NE5Subscriber connection
Subscriber outlet, splicing, OTDR testing and ONT activation.
Why TechnikNet
- One contact for network levels 3 to 5
- Our own field crews
- Every splice and every link is OTDR-tested and handed over documented
Frequently asked questions about fibre construction
What do NE3, NE4 and NE5 mean?+
The network levels describe sections of the fibre network. NE3 covers civil works, microtrenching and the distribution network, NE4 the building entry with HÜP and risers, and NE5 the subscriber connection with splicing, OTDR testing and ONT activation.
What is a HÜP?+
The house transfer point (HÜP) is the interface between the operator network and the cabling inside the building. It is set during the building entry in NE4.
How is the quality of a fibre link verified?+
An OTDR measurement surveys the link and reveals attenuation and fault locations. At TechnikNet every splice and every link is measured and handed over documented.
Who does TechnikNet work for?+
For network operators and general contractors who deliver fibre projects in network levels 3 to 5.
How do I request a project?+
Use the project inquiry to tell us the network level, scope and location. We usually reply within one working day.
